In the footsteps of Jesus

What do you think Jesus thought about home and about the situation of people without shelter or anyone to care for them? In this space you can spend some time focusing on trying to follow Jesus through some Scripture passages which tell us something of his thoughts and ideas about home. There are also some questions for reflection as we try to follow in Jesus’ footsteps and imagine his own experiences.

The Escape to Egypt

Matthew 2. 13-15

Now after they had left, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, ‘Get up, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and remain there until I tell you; for Herod is about to search for the child, to destroy him.’ Then Joseph got up, took the child and his mother by night, and went to Egypt, and remained there until the death of Herod. This was to fulfil what had been spoken by the Lord through the prophet, ‘Out of Egypt I have called my son.’

Focussed on bible study, prayer, worship, song and reflective story telling.

Green journey

Engage with pictures, external web and book resources, video clips and various activities, including cooking and eating a meal.

Pink journey

Personal commitments, reflection, and following Jesus more closely. The final pink space is the space where you may or may not be allowed to leave, where you can consider what you have learned, been surprised by, challenged by and assess how you might have changed.
