Conviction
Reflection
What are we to make of the people in this cell-space who go to prison for their convictions? How as Christians are we asked to stand up for and work to help those whose voices are silenced by imprisonment or because their faces do not fit? What happens when the very people who are 'dangerous' to a regime are Christians?
Jesus himself was arrested, tried, convicted and put to death and the early church was extensively persecuted. Many of the martyrs remembered by the Church today died in these kinds of circumstances. These experiences gave birth to and shaped the beginnings of the Christian faith. Would you go to prison or die for your faith in Jesus Christ?
Moving on
You can move on to a new cell-space, but you must imagine that you can only leave with permission and that you are escorted by a guard to that new space.
If you are in a group you can make this feel more realistic by getting your neighbour to pick where you go next, so that you don't get to choose where you go or who your 'cell-mates' are for the next exploration.
