After visiting the various cell-spaces within the house, you might like to consider what you would like to be rid of. Maybe you came in with some presuppositions and assumptions you would like to shed? Maybe there are experiences or things you have done you would now like to leave behind.

If there are things you would like to leave here, then make a note of what you would like to leave, in your diary.

Confession and repentance

If you would like to consider what you would like to leave behind in a more formal and prayerful way, you can use the following prayers of confession and repentance:

For all the times we have failed to remember those in prison without justice
Lord, have mercy

For all the times we have judged others without examining ourselves
Lord, have mercy

For all the times we have been too lazy to find out the truth
Lord, have mercy

For all the times we have ignored chances to right wrongs
Lord, have mercy

For all the times we have been forgotten those who need us to remember them
Lord, have mercy

For all the times we have left you, Jesus, in prison without visitors
Lord, have mercy

Lord of the earth, we have failed to do your will,
We ask your forgiveness in sorrow and humility,
Help us to do better in days to come
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord
Amen

Navigating the pathways

Yellow journey

Word and text based. You can interact with what people are saying and discussing about unjust imprisonment now.

Blue journey

Focussed on bible study, prayer, worship, song and reflective story telling.

Green journey

Engage with pictures, external web and book resources, video clips and various activities, including cooking and eating a meal.

Pink journey

Personal commitments, reflection, and following Jesus more closely. The final pink space is the space where you may or may not be allowed to leave, where you can consider what you have learned, been surprised by, challenged by and assess how you might have changed.

You can mix and match your journey through the different spaces depending on what you would most like to explore, study or do.
